Kyocera offers a range of excellent printers, many of which are used to produce booklets. Taking sheets of paper and producing booklets in one pass through the printer obviously has many benefits.

Working with Kyocera, SDD developed a Press Trim Module (PTM) for their range of printers. This means that, when it’s added to the printer line, Kyocera customers can produce even better-looking booklets… again, all in one simple operation.

So, with the SDD PTM, booklets are flatter and have the front edge neatly trimmed. And, the trim is adjustable for each application. The booklets are then enhanced resulting in a really professional look. So, even for offices, this extremely compact system really provides enhancements.

And, user-friendliness, has been a key factor in its design. So, there’s automatic switching between two jobs with different paper sizes (for example A3 to A4 jobs), plus colour and coated media are handled with ease.

The SDD PTM system is modular with several options available. As a result, an extra module can be (retro)fitted to make further enhancements:

  • 2-Side Trimmer: precisely trims the top and bottom of the booklet in a single operation
  • SquareFold Module: creates a booklet with a square spine
  • Hand Infeed Module: allows booklets to be fed by hand into the system
  • Long Conveyor Belt Stacker: doubles the booklet stacking capacity

The SDD PTM system is available for the Kyocera TASKalfa 6000, 7000, and 8000 series printers equipped with a booklet finisher.
