SDG: SDD is taking part!
The sustainable development goals (SDG) have been formulated by the United Nations in 2015 as a result of the Paris Climate Agreement. These objectives run until 2030.
The 17 goals aim to transform the world. Amongst them are:
- Reducing poverty
- Affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for all
- Availablity and access to clean water and sanitation
- Fighting climate change
- High quality education for all
The 17 goals are associated with 169 targets that lead to specific, more concrete actions.
SDD is very much committed to the sustainable development goals. SDD realises this by supporting a foundation (Gelre Association International) which is exclusively devoted to this subject and brings various groups of councils, government, schools and businesses together to discuss these topics and initiate further actions.
